The Unlucky Canadian Whilst walking through a town in Mexico a couple were approached by a scruffy looking Canadian. Seeming very distressed and very pleased to see some westerners he asked if they spoke English. When they said yes he told them that his backpack had been stolen that morning and that he had been at the police station all morning trying to sort things out. He needed to make a call to his mum in Canada and could they give him some money to make this call. Feeling sorry for this bloke they handed over the equivalent of about £5-£10. They then went on their way feeling pleased that they were able to help out a fellow traveller in need. One week later they passed back through the same town that they had helped out the desperate Canadian. They could not believe it when they heard the same Canadian calling after them as they walked down the street. Thinking that maybe he remembered their good deed and was about to repay them, they stopped. He approached them and gave them exactly the same story as the week before. He did not remember them and tried to con some more money out of them using the same story!!! Read More Scams Buy Accessories Online - FREE next day delivery |
